Job Description

About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable champion to join our Finance Team. If you are a resilient, multi-tasker, with outstanding written & verbal communication skills, who thrives in a fast paced and challenging environment, we would love to hear from you. In this role, you will take ownership of your own ledger, you will be managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, reducing debtors’ days, and ensuring smooth flow of cash within the business. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Follow up on delinquent accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding debt
•    Process daily incoming statements, reconciled accounts, allocate receipts accurately
•    Liaise closely with the sales and operations teams to resolve billing, order number or any other disputes
•    Support month-end and year-end closing processes relating to accounts receivable
•    Ensure orders are released in a prompt manner, while thoroughly checking account status, credit limit etc
•    Account reconciliation and payment allocation
•    Open new accounts in prompt and accurate manner
•    Investigate and resolve customer payments issues and any discrepancies in a professional manner
•    Conduct necessary credit checks on new and existing customers and assess credit limits
•    Prepare and update various reports on accounts status, overdue balances, and ageing analysis
•    Help maintaining PPSR register (registering, extending, discharging)
•    Assist customers with an online credit application form, provide guidance and support
•    Ensure all account’s changes are promptly and accurately reflected on customers’ accounts 

About you: 
•    Accounting qualification is beneficial but not necessary if you have proven experience
•    Proven experience in Credit Control / Accounts Receivable or similar finance role
•    Proficiency in MS Office Suite in particular Excel and experience with an ERP system such as D365, or equivalent
•    High attention to detail with strong numeracy and analytical skills
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
•    Strong problem‑solving, organisation, and time‑management abilities
•    Able to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team
