Are you ready for a brand-new opportunity at our purpose-built Steel Warehouse?

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll lead and motivate a team of operators, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a strong culture of accountability and teamwork.

Our Drury Distribution Centre is seeking an experienced Operations Lead to oversee the daily operations and distribution, and drive efficiency, safety and team performance every day.

About the Role

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities
  • Coach and support shift supervisors and operators to achieve operational KPIs.
  • Overseeing warehouse operational activities and ensuring compliance with company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) 
  • Be the floor champion for health and safety, committed to ensuring best and safe practices are upheld
  • Manage inbound/outbound freight to ensure processes are continuously improved and efficient
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to manage stock; inventory, transfers and customer orders.
  • promoting ownership and accountability throughout the team to always foster a proactive health and safety culture. 
  • This role is full-time and permanent for day shifts, Monday to Friday.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse leadership position or similar
  • Be highly organised and drive efficiency
  • Sound inventory management and system skills
  • Experience in a similar industry, especially with steel, is preferred
  • A passion for safety, quality and operational excellence
  • Ability to lead the team to optimal performance in a high-volume and dynamic environment
  • A current forklift licence and/or F endorsed driver’s licence
