About the Role
The Warehouse Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing and optimising all warehouse functions within our Auckland Flow Control, and fittings distribution centre. Reporting to the National Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for leading our warehouse team to ensure the seamless and efficient movement of products into and out of the facility. You will ensure a streamlined flow, maximising productivity, maintaining the highest safety standards, and enhances customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries.
You will continuously review and develop robust processes that drive continuous improvements and achieve optimal efficiency. providing strong leadership to the team whilst fostering a culture that promotes individual growth and development. Key Responsibility
- Drive a safety-first culture ensuring all staff are following Asmuss safety requirements
- Manage the operations function of the Warehouse to achieve business performance targets, inventory efficiencies, inventory management, cost management and quality services
- Manage the receipt of a constant flow of inwards goods ensuring goods are receipted and inventoried in an accurate and timely manner to minimise delays
- Build and promote a team environment focused on engaging the team to work collaboratively, efficiently and accurately to achieve the overall company objectives
- Maintain and improve housekeeping for the warehouse function
- Initiate recommendations for continuous improvement of company processes and standard procedures.
About you
- Previous experience (at least 5+ years) in leading a warehouse or distribution centre or similar.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide warehouse staff effectively.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities to handle multiple tasks and challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices to optimise warehouse processes.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to warehousing and material handling, especially in the heavy goods industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with a variety of people.
