About the Role:

Reporting to the Dunedin Branch Manager, we are looking for a driven Account Manager to join our team. This role is customer facing and covers the Dunedin and Central Otago region and is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career as a sales professional.

You may not necessarily have previous sales or account management experience in our industry, but you will have a tertiary qualification in business or engineering, a passion for solving customer problems.

If you have the determination to exceed our customers’ expectations, a strong desire to learn the best practice approach to account management, you are tech savvy, highly driven and possess a genuine passion for being the best that you can be this could be the role you have always been looking for.

 This role is focused initially on our steel products (including structural, merchant, pipe & fittings, valves) however we have a broad range of water and flow control products that we provide to some of the biggest names in New Zealand so there is plenty of scope to grow personally and professionally.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining sales of core products
• Providing a high level of customer care and technical expertise
• Building new profitable business relationships while strengthening existing customer relationships

We are ideally looking for someone who has:.

• A mechanical/construction aptitude would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial understanding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Experience using a CRM system
• A genuine customer focus
• A drive to succeed and passion for our being successful.
• Excellent work ethic, communication, and interpersonal skills
