Welcome to Asmuss! We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Storeperson to join our Waikato team. This is an exciting opportunity within our WAI Dispatch department. Key Accountabilities 

  • Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch using the overhead Gantry Crane and forklift. 
  • Loading and unloading trucks of steel using Gantry Crane and forklift
  • Receiving inwards goods
  • Completing stock takes, and associated paperwork relating to the warehouse

Hours of Work: 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Full NZ Drivers License 
  • Current forklift license preferred but not essential 
  • Experience with Gantry Crane operation preferred but not essential 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and maintaining inventory records
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and pass pre-employment checks 
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and communication purposes
