Job Description

We need a Demand and Supply Planner within our Steel division to play a pivotal role in delivering effective demand and supply planning across our national network. By providing accurate, actionable plans to the business and our sites around the country, you'll help ensure the right products are available at the right time to meet customer and operational needs.

Reporting to the Category Manager - Steel, you will take ownership of the end-to-end demand and supply planning process for a key product category. This is a highly visible role that requires strong analytical capability, forecasting expertise, and a proactive approach to supply chain management. You'll work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, using your relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills to drive effective outcomes. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you'll be comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Beyond day-to-day planning activities, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing ERP systems, processes, data integrity, and overall supply chain performance.

Desired Skills and Experience

We're looking for:

  • Proven experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, or a similar supply chain role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working with planning and ERP systems.
  • A sound understanding of supply chain principles and their commercial implications.
  • A qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).

Most importantly, you'll enjoy planning, forecasting, and optimising outcomes, while working collaboratively as a key contributor within a high-performing team.
