About the role
Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and building lasting relationships? Reporting to the Regional Ops Lead we are looking for a Customer Services Rep to join our Taupo team and be the friendly, knowledgeable face our customers rely on.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve customers at the counter with professionalism and care.
- Deliver exceptional customer service via phone and email.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations within set timeframes.
- Provide technical product information and support.
- Investigate tenders and pursue sales opportunities.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding pricing, deliveries, and credit.
- Support Sales Team with reporting and administrative tasks.
- Participate in sales promotions and assist with branch administration.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through ongoing training.
- Liaise with purchasing to ensure stock availability.
- Assist in the warehouse and with general branch duties as needed.
We are ideally looking for someone who has:
- Minimum 3 years’ customer service experience, ideally in engineering or industrial businesses
- Preferably some sales experience (advantageous but not essential).
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of your work.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude with a willingness to tackle various tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a well-presented, professional manner.
- The ability to work proactively, using initiative while knowing when to seek support
- Desire to always improve the quality of the service given by yourself with a thirst for knowledge
- Potential and desire to develop and grow within a supportive Company
- Computer savvy, with experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar ERP/CRM systems
- A sense of humor
- A full driver’s license
